Believe it! I bought the new Touareg diesel and my average fuel mileage over 25k miles of city/highway driving is 28mpg. On a recent road trip I got 30mpg and I wasn't exactly driving the speed limit. The 8 speed tranny is excellent and with the high compression of the engine, when you lift off the "gas" (ok, fuel) it acts like a manual with the engine slowing you down. With all that torque it tows like a dream too.

Ladies, leave your manicures behind for this one. Your man is going to expect you to stick your skinny little fingers where the sun don't shine! You see, girl hands are much better for reaching all those tight little places that the judges are going to check for dust, oil, dirt, loose change, etc. Oh, and that tube of long lost lipstick under the seat...it's worth a few points off your score. All joking aside, this is actually a very fun event to enter. You'll meet lots of other neatniks and this is one of the only club events that will end with your car in better condition than when you started. Try it at least once :)

OK ladies...this is your chance to slide behind the wheel of his "other woman." Parade is the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet in track driving in a fun, safe environment. The tracks are usually shorter, a little tighter than usual, and slower in speed than most club driving events. Just have it in your head you're on your way to that big shoe sale at Nordies and you're set!
